Mentored by Gregory Hines, Andrew Nemr is a captivating speaker and performer. A 2012 TED Fellow and 2016 TED Resident, Andrew’s talks uniquely combine personal storytelling with virtuosic tap dancing.
An internationally recognized performer and educator Andrew has performed alongside the likes of Nat Adderley, Jr., Harry Connick Jr., the Duke Ellington Orchestra, the Lionel Hampton Orchestra, and the legendary Les Paul. He appears on the Grammy nominated recording “Itsbynne Reel” by Dave Eggar, the DVD Documentary and companion album “Tuesdays at Mona’s” by Mona’s Hot Four, and as narrator of DanceTime Publications’ first tap dance DVD, Tap Dance History: From Vaudeville to Film. He has spoken from the Fellow’s Stage at TED Global, at numerous TEDx conferences (TEDxCERN, TEDxPuraVida, TEDxChemungRiver, TEDxSetonHall), Wheaton College, International Arts Movement’s INHABIT Conference, the Gospel and Work Conference, and Laity Lodge, among others.
